hey you
Ack, it seriously must be some kind of near humourous reflection of my character that I always don't post stuff and then post stuff which inevitably has to do with playing music. maybe ill rename this blog to be something about music, that would make sense.
I just heard my brother listening to this Spanish song but I got up to find that it was in fact Another Brick in the Wall (part mariachi), and it was awesome. Allinall urista nother brick in the wall.
I thought about how much I miss taking my guitar to school and playing it randomly. I know, that it was my brother's thing, and part of the reason that he did it so much was it was part of his identity. Does it make me a pretender if I do it as well? Anyway I was thinking of taking my guitar and playing songs to people (I.e. everyone) and the first thing that I imagined was me running up to someone in the middle of a group and being like "hey can I play you a song" and then playing "Hey You", which for all you non Pink Floyd fans goes a bit like this :
So yes, so it seems that no one wants to hear sad songs, but its also true that whenever anyone wants to hear sad songs they know exactly where to find them (note: if you don't, try Pink Floyd's "The Wall")
About me, currently, aside from the music (when did music become so irreversibly bonded to my being? So unrenderable from my very soul, or whatever), I've been feeling a little bit funny, sometimes. Crisis after crisis I suppose. Currently not sure what to do with life, what there is to offer, what causes to devote my efforts to, if at all. What if I became a famous musician? Haha, no chance, my parents would disown me. Unless I became a professional something else first.
Ken Jeong, who plays the weird Asian dude in community used to be a doctor before being a full time actor, but by then he was no longer under his doctor-father's roof. The Korean guy on lost was studying to be a professional something (doctor) but he became an actor and his dad disowned him. Such are asians.
Why have I been told that the few dreams that I have are wrong? Music man, monk, knight (i.e. glaive wielding accordian playing don quixote-esque, guan yu-esque errant) or politic man. I suppose its because they're all silly dreams which really shouldn't be followed literally, clearly.
Frothing at the mouth. Might post on other other blog. Oysters.

Hey you! Out there in the cold, getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?so yeah. Not sure how that would end, especially since id be singing it to someone who wasn't alone. Making some huge social commentary? Sure.
Hey you! Standing in the aisles with itchy feet and itchy smiles, could you feel me?
Hey you! Don't help them to bury the lii-ight.
Don't give in, without a fight.

a challenges
that could mean "without challenges" if you take "a" as "not", as per certain european languages, instead of as an article in the english language.
anyway, my initial thought to this post was something about playing songs up on stage.
basically if you play songs well, you get quite a lot of claps. it also helps if its a famous/well liked song and/or people like you.
if you play a song that no one has heard before then there are some possibilities.
1. you play it and screw it up. this results in a lesser applause. you can tell most if you're in the audience. I can never tell on stage, so I'm quite a bit afraid sometimes.
2. you play it and you nail it. it really helps if you have some virtuosic skill, but more importantly, execution when you play/sing it. then you get a lot of applause.
3. you play it ok and you have a regular amount of applause. you will never get as much applause as the people who played famous songs.
I can tell when a performance gets screwed up, and people withhold applause. I could easily tell with my brother's band when they made some mistakes and performances just went downhill, but I was always in the audience. When i'm on stage and I play mediocrely, i can't tell between an average amount of applause and a low amount of applause (maybe because it doesn't exist). I can always tell when there is an exceptional amount of applause and I think that it has never happened to me.
am I biased?
my brother got sick of this challenge (i don't know if he was aware of it or cared about it or thought about it like i just have) and played stairway to heaven, and played the live version's solo which is 2 minutes of him ripping a guitar, and he got some good applause.
anyway, I don't know if anyone else is aware of what i've described, or if i've made it up (probably the latter, why am i so crazy)
is this why people always want to play popular songs? i can understand why, its so much easier to get approval of the audience, and in an easier way than bedazzling them with virtuosity (something else that audiences respond strongly to)...
dunno.

cambodian new year
not doing anything yet. going temple after dinner.
going to start some stuff. habitual exercise is one. habitual study is another. habitual guitar is the third i suppose. i need to start getting ready to play music on stage again. since the unfortunate disestablishment on my bands i don't have anyone to play with. does anyone want to play music with me?

'appy
Feeling happy, not sure why. I suppose it is the return of the thought that everything will be ok in the end, which is a nice thought, probably brought about by 'always look on the bright side of life' by monty python.
Anyway, got some ideas about something or rather, probably going to solve it by going open source if that makes sense but probably not. Im hungry, and, good night!

neodymium and praseodymium
'morning! Just kidding im not Harvard but it is the morning.
At the time of posting im lying in bed too cautious to wake up for food because as soon as i do dad will wake up for work and bust me for being up so late, once again.
Neodymium and praseodymium are rare earth metals which both seem from the greek words didymus, which means twin. Other words which stem from didymus include epididymus, which is part of the male reproductive system, and didymouse, who is micky mouse's twin brother.
I dont know why i care at all about neodymium and praseodymium, i suppose you could say that that's my metal preference.
In other news, im doing and Osborn and deleting all my games. Sorry Osborn! He wanted me to play tf2 with him tomorrow (today). But it turns out i dont have enough self control to stop playing games in the short term because honestly why would anyone they are so fun.
Losing (things) is fun!

flux
quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? thats what it is to be a slave.
getting rusty at everything. used to be alright at doing stuff, now i'm just mostly crap at everything.
need to be burned in presence of some limestone while having air pumped through at high heat and be rid of excess carbon.
actually not sure what that means.
need change.
need magnetic fields.
don't know what i'm doing wrong.
